Offering the life saving gift of ultrasound requires both an ultrasound machine and a trained and certified sonographer. NIFLA (National Institute of Family and Life Advocates) offers this training and certification to Registered Nurses. Trotter House Lindale is a member of NIFLA and has 5 RNs that could be trained in ultrasound. This rigorous training in limited Obstetric Ultrasound includes: 24 hours of lectures and quizzes, 3 days of onsite lectures and scanning orientation. Your donation would pay for training of 2 RNs to receive this training so they can serve as sonographers at Trotter House Lindale.
