Trotter House Lindale Pregnancy and Family Resource Center

This East Texas Giving Day, we’re inviting our community to help us bring hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies.

Our Mission: To serve women, men and families who are facing an unplanned pregnancy or difficult life situation.

We believe: Every parent should have the support, resources and supplies needed for pregnancy, birth and raising a newborn through their 2nd birthday.

We serve: Women, children and families in Smith, Wood and Van Zandt Counties. Our clients come from Lindale, Tyler, Flint, Mineola, Alba, Winona, Grand Saline, Big Sandy and Hawkins.

We also serve: Students at 7 High/Jr High schools north of I-20 with educational materials and presentations. THL continues to support the Student for Life of America group at Lindale High School.

Donations fund ALL of our services which are FREE: Free pregnancy tests and free 2D/3D/4D ultrasounds by our professionally trained staff are provided. Women are given free diapers, wipes, and clothing every week for over two years (until their youngest child reaches 2 years old). Larger maternity and infant/toddler items (breast pumps, maternity clothes, bassinets, car seats, bouncers, etc., are provided free through our Earn While You Learn Life Skills Program.

NO $ is wasted: Due to our generous event donors and sponsors, 100% of donated funds ($ and in kind) went directly to our client programs, services and supplies in 2025. Every $ has been used toward our mission to offer specialized programs, supplies and services to assist women and families.

Why now? Pregnancy Resource Centers, like Trotter House Lindale, are critical to providing women and their children from rural communities the resources and support needed to support pregnancy, birth and the life of their child for 2 years. In 2022, elective abortion became illegal to perform or prescribe in the state of Texas. There is currently no OB/GYN service in Lindale, so Trotter House Lindale is the critical center where a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy will be supported and directed to medical care (via our Medicaid verification) throughout her pregnancy and for the first two years of her child's life, for free.

Equity Statement: Trotter House Lindale never discriminates in providing services to clients because of age, gender, race, color, sex, income, national origin, political beliefs, religion, disability or other arbitrary circumstances.

We provide important education on:

prenatal development and maternal prenatal health
personalized, one on one, labor and delivery classes
personalized, one on one, lactation training and support
parenting classes from newborn through toddler years
life skills classes on employment, marriage, single parenting, budgeting, being a father, recovery from past abuse.

All education and information is supported by weekly mentoring by a trained advocate.

Adoption: We have a working relationship with several adoption agencies and are trained in presenting this as a loving option to a woman who is unable to raise her child.

Abortion: While we do not refer for abortion, we do provide accurate information about abortion (surgical or chemical) and its aftermath, as well as providing a post abortion recovery program for women who suffer from their past abortion.

Our Founder, Staff and Volunteers: All who serve at THL are dedicated to the mission of serving women and their children.

THL is led by our founder, Beth Walker, one of the people instrumental in making Lindale a Sanctuary City for the Unborn. She has led THL since it opened in March 2023, a year after the ordinance making Lindale a Sanctuary City for the Unborn was passed by the Lindale City Council.

THL currently has only two part time paid employees, while the rest of our Medical Staff and Medical Director, Board of Directors, Client Advocates and Volunteers all are unpaid. All those who work and serve THL are passionate and dedicated to our mission.

We are staffed with volunteers who are licensed Registered Nurses, a RDMS licensed sonographer who works professionally in OB/GYN, as well as volunteers training in crisis management. Our Board of Directors has been trained by NIFLA (National Institute of Family and Life Advocates).
