As a child, reading was my escape and solace in a world where I felt turbulence. As an adult, my reading decreased, but hasn't stopped. As the President of the Friends of the Library, I tapped into my lifelong passion for books and reading to fulfill a volunteer role of library support.
I want to ensure that library programming, for youth and adults, remains free! AND that services like 3D printing, copies, and paper printing stay affordable, at or below material cost, and are even expanded.
Dreams include an expansion of services to include a library of things (sewing machines, camping gear, tools, instruments, telescopes, small appliances, and other similar items), improved 3D printers, plotter printers, and other services.
Your donation will help keep and expand the current programs offered at the library, support additional services, and expand upon our opportunities to serve the city of Tyler!
