Meet Jim Wampler, proud Veteran and CampV Team Ambassador. Jim is raising funds because he’s seen firsthand the impact CampV has on Veterans like himself—and he wants others to experience that same support.

"I didn’t truly understand the weight that veterans like myself carried until I saw it up close when I retired.

For a long time, I thought service ended when the uniform came off. But I’ve come to realize that for many, the hardest part begins after they return home—the quiet battles, the memories, and the struggle to reconnect with a world that kept moving while they were away.

That’s why CampV matters to me.

CampV represents something rare and powerful: a place where veterans can breathe again. It’s not just a retreat—it’s a reset. A place where they’re understood without needing to explain, where healing doesn’t feel clinical or forced, and where camaraderie comes naturally again.

I’ve seen how spaces like CampV can change lives. Whether it’s helping someone rediscover purpose, rebuild relationships, or simply find a moment of peace, the impact is real—and it’s lasting.

What inspired me most is the way CampV approaches healing. It’s not about programs or checklists—it’s about people. It’s about giving veterans the environment, the support, and the respect they deserve as they navigate life after service.

That mission hits close to home for me. I’ve known people who came back different—quieter, heavier, carrying things they never talked about. And I’ve also seen what happens when they’re given the right support: they start to come back to life.

That’s what CampV does.

It gives hope back. It gives connection back. It gives strength back.

And that’s why I want to be a part of it—why I want to support it, advocate for it, and help raise funds so more veterans can experience what CampV offers.

Because they’ve already given so much. The least we can do is make sure they’re not fighting their battles alone."
