Requested funds will be used to support the acquisition, relocation, and preparation of a permanent classroom facility designed to serve students with learning differences, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and twice-exceptional learners.
Funding will directly contribute to:
- Purchase of a pre-existing building structure
- Transportation and on-site placement
- Utility connections (electric, water, septic)
- Interior build-out tailored for small-group, sensory-aware learning environments
This capital project is critical to expanding access to specialized education in rural East Texas, where families of neurodivergent students often have limited or no appropriate school options. The additional classroom space will allow us to increase enrollment from 15 to 40+ students, while maintaining the low student-to-teacher ratios required for individualized instruction.
The completed facility will provide a structured, supportive environment where students with diverse learning needs can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through hands-on, purpose-driven learning. This includes opportunities for real-world skill development that are often inaccessible to this population in traditional settings.
