The NTCC Film Club explores members’ interests in film, old and new, and shares those interests with the community. Members gather weekly to enjoy a wide variety of films, take field trips to special showings or invite special guests involved with film development to present. The club’s longest running program is a film series each semester to expose students to films they would not necessarily choose for themselves. In the fall of 2025, it was the Blockbusters of Steven Spielberg from Jaws to Jurassic Park, and this Spring the work of Rob Reiner from Stand By Me to A Few Good Men.
In the past, the funds from ETGD have helped the club take field trips and purchase a new popcorn maker.
Starting last year, the club began the process of raising the funds necessary to replace the screen in our meeting room. Years ago, the room had the largest screen on campus, but it was damaged and replaced with a smaller screen that has also gotten stained and worn over the last decade. The Club wants to replace the original “big screen” experience that led to us choose that room for our “home.” We are only a tiny bit shy of our overall goal.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal.
