NTCC TABLETOP is starting to raise funds for an official games locker to store the Club's collection

Every Thursday, visitors to the Humanities building can hear the membership of TableTop while members enjoy a wide variety of interactive games.

The club provides an opportunity for experienced and “newbie” players alike to socialize with each other and participate in playing games, especially those of a strategic nature, which encourage both entertainment and critical thinking skills. In fact, studies say working puzzles and playing games can help stimulate the brain, help people deal with a wide variety of mental issues, and may even help delay dementia or Alzheimer’s.

But it’s not all fun and games. The club also participates in community service activities like the yearly Angel Tree. In fact, before COVID hit, the club sponsored a special Clue Tournament to raise funds for what was then the Student Food Bank. (It’s now called the Care Center, and it’s still a worthy cause that you can donate to on their NTCC Celebration page elsewhere on this site.)

The Club’s long-term goals include finally resurrecting the Clue tournament and getting an official “games locker” in which to store its growing collection of games somewhere other than the advisor’s office.

Thank you for your support.
