Jonathan Edwin Holland, 18 years young, was born March 9, 2005, and went to be with the angels on the evening of November 1, 2023. Jonathan will always be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and work ethic. He was truly a gentle giant, and we are blessed for the time God gave us with him. Jonathan, the cherished and beloved son of Nathan & Karen Holland and loving big brother of Grayson T. Holland, spent his lifetime in Henderson. From not knowing what to do with a newborn to raising a hard-working, kind and humble young man, his family are all at a complete loss. Not only was Jonathan talented in many different areas, but he was also a young entrepreneur. Fat Boy Lawn Care is a lawn & landscaping service that Jonathan built and developed over the last few years. All his clients praised him for being such a hard-working young man and many say he had the work ethic of generations past.
“The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops.”
2 Timothy 2:6
This is when we decided to make Fat Boy Foundation to remember Jonathan and his legacy. We decided to take the money that the community had donated to the Jonathan Holland Memorial Fund and give it as scholarships. The first scholarships were awarded 3 mo. after his death. We decided to give scholarships to kids going to trade schools since Jonathan was enrolled in school at TSTC Marshall to be an electrical lineman at the time of death. There are not many scholarships out there to go to kids going to trade schools.
