Keep the Music Playing

The East Texas Youth Orchestra accomplishes its mission by providing students with education, experience, encouragement, excellence, enrichment, and enjoyment. Founded in 1955 as the Tyler Youth Orchestra, the organization became the East Texas Youth Orchestra in 2014. ETYO currently supports three major ensembles: the Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra, and the Jazz Academy. Additionally, ETYO has a Preparatory Orchestra of beginning string players and sponsors String Clubs to introduce new students to the violin.  ETYO draws over 100 students from across the East Texas region. The attraction of ETYO to accomplished young musicians is an indicator of the educational value provided by ETYO programs and underscores the organization’s determination to expand programming and to reach additional young musicians from across the East Texas.

We need your support to purchase music and other supplies, attract accomplished directors, and provide scholarship help so all can participate.
