Helping Kids Heal—Right Here at Home

For over 40 years, Children’s Village has been serving children right here in Tyler. Our campus sits on 120 acres of beautiful wooded, rolling hills—home to two family-style cottage homes where kids can find stability, structure, and a safe place to grow. It’s not just a facility—it’s a place where kids can be kids again, with space to run, a large playground to enjoy, and a welcoming “schoolhouse” space where kids can relax, play, and just be themselves.

And now, we’re building something more.

With our Child Placing Agency, we’re stepping beyond our campus and into the community—focusing on underserved areas right here in Smith County, as well as Henderson, Van Zandt, and Wood counties. There’s a real need in these areas, and we’re working to connect and support foster families so kids can stay closer to home, their schools, and their siblings.

This part is personal for me.

I’ve been in this field for 27 years—this isn’t just work for me, it’s something I deeply believe in. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when kids don’t have the support they need—and what can happen when they do. I get to see every day what hope, consistency, and the right support can do for a child who’s been through hard things.

This fundraiser is a team effort to keep that going—helping us grow, reach more families, and show up in the places that need us most.
