Join Me in Supporting Bubba’s House

Elijah’s Retreat or Bubba’s House as we call it, is a peaceful sanctuary in East Texas that serves families navigating autism and other special needs. Each year, over 400 families come to the retreat to rest, connect, and experience joy in a safe and understanding environment.

Through therapy disguised as play, families engage in activities like:

• Interacting with animals
• Horseback riding
• Outdoor exploration

These experiences help children build confidence, improve communication, and create meaningful family connections.

Elijah’s Retreat also provides internship opportunities for youth on the autism spectrum, helping them develop job skills, confidence, and independence.

Families who come to Elijah’s Retreat often face daily challenges that can feel overwhelming and isolating. Here, they find:

• A place where their child is fully accepted
• A community that understands
• Moments of peace, joy, and connection

My goal is to raise $1,000 to support Elijah’s Retreat during East Texas Giving Day.

• Affordable stays for families (only $45/night vs. $320 actual cost)
• Animal care and therapeutic programming
• Internship opportunities for youth with autism
