Prize Rules
- The East Texas Giving Day donation window runs from early giving (April 6 at 6:00am CT) through the end of the Giving Event (April 28th at 11:59pm CT). Please see the Prizes above for specific start and end times.
- To participate in East Texas Giving Day, a nonprofit must be located in, or primarily serve one of the 32 counties* in East Texas Communities Foundation's (ETCF) service area. In addition, they must be in good standing with the IRS. Only organizations that register with https://www.easttexasgivingday.org will be eligible to receive donations.
- *The 32 counties served by ETCF include Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Franklin, Freestone, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Lamar, Leon, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood.
- Nonprofit budget categories are determined by the operating budget submitted by the organization during registration. The 2026 budget categories are:
- Small Organizations: less than $250,000
- Medium Organizations: $250,000 - $999,999
- Large Organizations: $1,000,000 or more
- Participating nonprofits are eligible to receive one (1) Prize during East Texas Giving Day.
- Prize winners will be displayed in real-time throughout East Texas Giving Day. Results and prize winners are not final until verified by the East Texas Communities Foundation.
- In the event of a tie for any Prizes, the prize will be awarded based on a secondary metric from the same time period (if applicable).
- If a prize is based on most unique online donors, the tie will be broken by comparing the total online dollars raised during that time frame.
- If a prize is based on total online dollars raised, the tie will be broken by the number of unique online donors during that same period.
- Donations must be made online by a credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, GooglePay, Paypal, or ACH through the East Texas Giving Day website in order to count towards Prizes (no offline donations - e.g. cash or check).
- Awarded prizes are subject to audit and are finalized up to seven business days following East Texas Giving Day.
