Young Life Tyler

Young Life is a relationship-centered ministry where we introduce teenagers to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith! Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them - fun, adventure, friendship, and a sense of significance. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something we believe matters most of all - the truth about God and His love for them.

High School (Tyler High and Tyler Legacy), Middle School (Hubbard, Three Lakes, Moore) called WyldLife, Teenage Moms called YoungLives, & Teenagers with disabilities called Capernaum

Current State of Young Life in Tyler, Texas

• Currently walking in friendship with over 1000 students
• Weekly gatherings in Tyler for high schoolers, middle schoolers, teen moms (YoungLives), and we hope to kickstart ministry with our friends with special needs (Capernaum)
• 150+ kids and leaders will attend a Young Life Summer Camp
• Recruitment, training, and development of 57 volunteer leaders in this community
• Current staff team: Julie Kummerfeld (Assoc. Area Director/WyldLife Coordinator), Jennifer Wharton (YoungLives Coordinator), Lindsay Puckett (Tyler Legacy Coordinator), Trayshanna Phillips (Tyler High Coordinator), Emily Fleet (Area Administrator).
