The Fostering Collective
About this Organization
Bringing Hope to Children in foster care
There are 1,300 children in foster care in East Texas.
Close to 100 of these children have had their parental rights terminated and just need a forever family.
Because of a lack of foster homes close to half of the kids in East Texas are being sent outside of East Texas. They are being sent hundreds of miles from their homes, schools, churches, friends, and relatives.
The Fostering Collective exists to recruit and shepherd Christ-centered families in East Texas to help children in foster care.
We help in these 3 ways:
1. We help families interested in becoming a foster or adoptive family get started and walk through the licensing process.
2. We help active foster/adoptive families find the resources they need (i.e. support groups, community with other families, babysitters, doctors, counseling, therapy, etc…)
3. We help churches, agencies, and other organizations impact children by connecting their resources to those in need.
