To enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs using dogs to bring hope and healing through animal-assisted activity and therapy programs.

Silver Paws is a non-profit organization comprised of certified therapy animal teams that provide animal assisted intervention (AAI), activity (AAA), and therapy (AAT) programs by: connecting certified Silver Paws teams with facilities and organizations in the local East Texas area for the benefit of each community where we are present.

Our teams aspire to support and educate new ambitious teams and educate professionals about the benefits of therapy animal programs, while promoting the benefits of human-animal interactions. We are currently visiting at Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center, Gregg County Courthouse, assisted living facilities, hospice, providing reading programs to local schools (Gilmer ISD, Spring Hill ISD, Longview ISD, and more), and much much more.

With your help we hope to recruit more canine teams, provide education to each team as they strive to serve their community, and provide connections for each qualified team to a facility that would like to have canine assisted programs.
