Runners Refuge Discipleship Academy

Runners Refuge Discipleship Academy and Peachtree Recovery Ranch, located in New Boston, Texas, provide a faith-based, Christ-centered, military-structured, residential recovery program for men and women struggling with life-controlling issues. It is our belief that only through a relationship with Jesus Christ, a structured life built around spiritual disciplines, and continued service in the local church can a person walk truly free from bondage. Jesus said,  "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." It is through this understanding that our priority is to introduce our cadet first and foremost to the person of Jesus Christ, and then to teach spiritual disciplines that make living a disciplined Christian lifestyle not only possible but also successful, without the chains and regrets of past sins and bondage.  

Runners Refuge Discipleship Academy is also an extension campus of Nelson University, a premier Christian University, with the main campus in Waxahachie, Texas. Through our partnership with Nelson University, the academy is able to offer fully accredited Associate, Bachelor, and Master's degrees in over 25 disciplines in Biblical Studies and Liberal Arts right here on our sprawling 59-acre New Boston Campus. 

Runners Refuge Discipleship Academy and Peachtree Ranch are wholly owned subsidiaries of Runners Refuge Ministries, which primarily focuses on homelessness and human trafficking, providing meals, clothing, transportation, and more to over 12,000 homeless individuals each month at 11 locations in the DFW Metroplex, El Paso/Las Cruces/Alamogordo Metropolitan Area, New Orleans and surrounding areas, and the Ark-La-Tex.

Additionally, Runners Refuge provides mental health referrals and resources, counseling, credit counseling, financial literacy classes, job training, mentorships, long-term residential substance abuse treatment, and much more to individuals experiencing homelessness. Each individual that we meet has specific needs so the way we approach helping them (wrapped in love) is tailored to them.
