Omaha Cares
About this Organization
Omaha Cares is a 501(c) (3) organization that was formed in 2014 to provide monetary support to cancer patients within the communities of Omaha, Naples, Rocky Branch, Marietta, and Bryans Mill. Each year in the Fall, Omaha Cares participates in the "Pink Out" activities at a Pewitt football game and has a booth at the Omaha Fall Fest. In October we hold a chili supper fundraiser, with a silent auction of baked goods. Also in October, we host a Luminary Ceremony fundraiser which honors cancer patients and survivors, caregivers, and those who lost their battle with cancer. This spring, we are holding our first Cancer Walk and Health Fair.
We have 22 very supportive business and individual sponsors, who donate consistently each year.
Our Board of Directors is composed of 14 dedicated and hardworking individuals. We meet monthly to review our patients' statuses and plan for upcoming events
Memorials and Special Gifts are loving ways to honor or remember someone. Donations given as memorials or honorariums will be acknowledged by mail with a card. Donations, with contact information, may be mailed to Omaha Cares, P O Box 932, Omaha, TX 75
