Hospice of East Texas

A nonprofit organization

Our mission "to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illnesses and to assist bereaved family members by providing comprehensive, coordinated care and support." This care is provided to approximately 300 families each day and more than 2,250 families each year. Our overall goal is to provide the same extraordinary care, compassion, and commitment to each patient and family, regardless of their financial circumstances or life situation.

For over forty years, the staff and volunteers of The Hospice of East Texas have brought extraordinary end-of-life care to East Texas. Today, that dream continues to be a reality for thousands of families and patients who are cared for every day in a 23-county region. The Hospice of East Texas has served patients with life-limiting illnesses and the families who care for them for many decades. Your gift received on East Texas Giving Day will support our efforts to fulfill our mission each day, caring for our patients and their families either at HomePlace, The Hospice of East Texas' inpatient facility, Home Care, Palliative Care, or through our many bereavement and grief resources.
