East Texas Trail Advocates

A nonprofit organization

East Texas Trail Advocates (ETXTA) is dedicated to the stewardship of sustainable, multiple-use, and purpose built trails. Founded on principles of conservation ethics, ETXTA promotes advocacy, respect and education to preserve great trail experiences. Our goal is to build and maintain sustainable trails, teach trail building and use etiquette practices, advocate for additional quality trails with access and acceptance everywhere, and to help provide enjoyable outdoor experiences for all.

As local trail systems' use increases, the need for maintenance and features increases, as does the need for education and awareness. This year ETXTA hopes to provide professional trail development and instruction, trail user education, trail signage and features. With additional tools and trained stewards, we can improve the quality of local trails for the enjoyment of everyone.
