The Children's Park of Tyler

The Children’s Park of Tyler provides compassionate care for families navigating the loss of a child at any age. At the heart of this mission is a simple belief. No family should have to grieve alone.

Across East Texas, a number of families experience the heartbreaking loss of a child every year. This includes pregnancy loss, infant loss, and the loss of children at any stage of life. Many are searching for support, connection, and a place where their child will be remembered.

The need is real.  

This year, our East Texas Giving Day goal is $15,000 to expand the care we provide across our region.

One of the most meaningful ways we walk alongside families is through our Bereavement Boxes. These thoughtfully prepared boxes are given in the earliest days of loss, offering comfort, reflection, and a reminder that families are not alone.  $15,000 will allow us to provide 150 Bereavement Boxes to families.

The Children’s Park also provides ongoing support through:

Bereavement Care and Support Groups
Ongoing in person support groups for parents navigating pregnancy loss, infant loss, and the loss of a child at any age, open to anyone in the East Texas community. All groups are free to attend.

Ways to Remember
Memorial stones, benches, trees, and a Virtual Memorial Wall that honor each child’s life and provide a place of healing for families.

Comfort Cart and Hospital Partnerships
Immediate support and resources for families in medical settings.

Remembrance Events
Gatherings that provide a place to hear and see a child's name include Day of Remembrance, Mother’s Day Retreat, Remembrance Run, An Evening of Remembrance, and Christmas in the Park.

Each of these services is designed to meet families where they are and walk with them as they navigate grief.
