East Texas Area Council Boy Scouts of America

Our mission is to prepare youth to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Developing youth through character education, job-skills training, academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, citizenship skills, outdoor adventures, and leadership development. Our programs encompass every aspect of youth development from mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual.

Our Council coordinates over 3,500 youth throughout 17 counties. Our camps are kept affordable due to your support in maintaining and constantly upgrading the programs and facilities. Our training programs for youth and adults produce the finest leaders, that all of East Texas can be proud of. Scouting is the largest local youth-serving agency reaching coed students from elementary through high-school. We work with hundreds of local organizations to reach at-risk youth.
