Andrews Behavioral Health

Andrews Behavioral Health has been moving mountains in the fields of mental, behavioral, and intellectual development healthcare across East Texas since 1968. We serve five counties: Smith, Henderson, Rains, Van Zandt, and Wood! As the designated Local Mental Health Authority, Andrews works alongside the State of Texas to provide mental health and developmental disability services. One of many of our services includes Autism Services, at our Treatment and Learning Center which helps children and young adults with autism, scale new development peaks through a combination of education and therapeutic care to help improve skills including social, play, language, communication, daily living, safety, vocational and academic skills while also reducing challenging or impeding behaviors. 

At Andrews, we identify the needs of our communities, we plan, we engage, we strategize and we implement. A perfect example is the recent launch of the HEARTS LOSS Team developed in 2025, which supports individuals and families after suicide loss through connection, compassion, and the help of volunteers with lived experience in suicide.
