Tyler Civic Chorale
About this Organization
An integral part of the Tyler's musical landscape for over five decades, the Tyler Civic Chorale aims to present high quality performances for the enjoyment and education of East Texas audiences. Since 1968, the Chorale has performed requiems by Brahms, Mozart, Duruflé, and Faure, as well as Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Creation, Jenkins' The Armed Man, and dozens of other masses, motets, cantatas, and oratorios.
Under the leadership of Richard Lee, audiences enjoyed a program of two Bach Motets and related works, a celebration of choruses from Broadway musicals and the opera and a collaboration with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra to finish out the season.
The financial needs of this organization are met in very small measure through ticket sales, but are otherwise funded entirely through the generous donations of the our East Texas community.
