Right now, 73 animals are in TAL’s care. Many facing serious medical challenges, all depending on compassion to survive and heal. More and more abandoned, abused, and neglected animals arrive needing food, shelter, and urgent veterinary care. The need never stops and neither does TAL.

For over 30 years, TAL has been a lifeline in our community, rescuing and rehoming hundreds of animals each year while helping thousands more through programs like low-cost spay and neuter services, a pet food pantry, emergency veterinary assistance, foster programs, and humane education. These programs don’t just save animals; they keep families together and prevent suffering before it starts.

But this work comes at a cost. Between medical bills, daily care, and community outreach, funding is critical; and right now, it’s one of TAL’s greatest needs, alongside dedicated volunteers.

Because TAL is volunteer-driven, every dollar you give goes directly to saving lives and supporting animals and families across Bowie and Cass counties in Texas and Miller and Little River counties in Arkansas.
