SHARET
About this Organization
SHARET purchases pet food from Greater Good Charities (Caddo Mills, Tx), Fresh Pet, Operation Kindness, and Farmers Dog to feed rescues, and provide to families who cannot afford to feed their pets. In 2025, SHARET spent $13,000 to feed the animals.
In 2024, a total of 128 dogs were rescued, neutered/spayed, fully vetted, and returned to their owners. Nine dogs received obedience training and returned to their owners or rescue group. One dog was certified as a service dog for his elderly owner. Twelve others were adopted. Eleven were transported to other rescue facilities. Eighty-one animals were vetted and returned to their owners to avoid abandonment. Twenty-one of these were injured dogs (wounds, broken legs). Eight were treated for heartworms at an average cost of $500 each plus preventative meds. Six dogs were temporarily boarded. Twelve dogs were fed, sheltered, and await adoption. Ten are animals that are not adoptable due to age, health, or disposition.
All animals must be fully vetted, heartworm negative, and if adopted out of state or country (some go to Canada), have a vet issued health certificate.
