Promise Academy believes that a Christ-centered education of the highest academic standards should be accessible to all students and families, regardless of their economic and social background.

Unlike most private school models that charge tuition to cover 90%+ of their budget and fundraise the rest, Promise Academy flips that on its head. Our students' families contribute through a sliding scale tuition program that amounts to approximately 10% of our operating budget. The remaining 90% of our funding comes from individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations who share our vision.

With this funding model, Promise Academy is unique in our mission to serve the North Tyler community. We are committed to serving in this neighborhood because of its historic lack of access to educational options as well as its high concentration of poverty and lack of economic development. Our 75702 zipcode carries almost triple the poverty rate of the rest of the city.

Today, we serve 84 students, with a proud legacy of 39 alumni. Of these, 30 graduates are attending local private middle and high schools, where they continue to thrive academically and socially.
