MPPFC services 196 families, over 200 individuals. Currently MPPFC houses 49 children aged 1-18. All of the families are extremely low income. Meaning their income is between 12-34k per year depending on family size. 72% are female head of household.
The need for affordable housing in our community is on the rise. Currently there are around 3,000 people on the MPPFC waiting list.
Often times residents are hit with unexpected needs that burden their already stretched resources. MPPFC actively looks for partners in the community to help fill the gaps in assistance for the residents. MPPFC works with SAFE-T, Hope Ministeries, Titus County Cares, and the CDC to assist residents with unmet needs. All help is welcomed. It is our belief that communities that work together can eliminate homelessness in this country. For change to happen someone has to do something.
