Longview Museum of Fine Arts

For more than 65 years, the Longview Museum of Fine Arts (LMFA) has been a place where East Texas comes together to experience creativity, culture, and community. Our mission is to enrich lives and spark a lifelong passion for the arts by making visual art accessible, engaging, and meaningful for communities across East Texas.

Founded in 1958 by the Junior League of Longview, LMFA has grown into a vibrant cultural hub, bringing world-class exhibitions, local artists, student showcases, concerts, classes, and family programs to Longview.

We believe art should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer free admission, Family Days, school tours, hands-on programs like Clay Club and yoga, and opportunities for students across East Texas to exhibit their work in our galleries through our Student Invitational. 

Furthermore, LMFA is helping build the future leaders of tomorrow with our Student Board, as they bring fresh ideas for exhibits and events, leadership, and vision for how we can continue and better serve our community.  This year, they are helping us for are first Teen Night, an event designed by teens, for teens, that foster creativity, connection, and the next generation of art advocates.

With your support, we are able to:

• Empower our Student Board, LMFA’s future leaders, as they plan and host a Teen Night event, building leadership skills and creating meaningful experiences for their peers
• Bring nationally and regionally recognized artists to East Texas
• Provide art education to thousands of students each year
• Maintain our sculpture garden and community gathering spaces
