Habitat for Humanity of Texarkana builds decent affordable housing for qualified community members. We are a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need of decent housing to build affordable homes. The houses then are sold to qualified families with a zero-interest mortgage, buyer's closing costs, and affordable monthly mortgage payments. Each family or homeowner is called a Partner Home buyer because it is truly a partnership, not a hand-out.

We also have a Critical Repair Program which helps assist low-income homeowners with much needed repairs to their homes to help keep them safe, healthy, and thriving.
