East Texas Film Society

East Texas Film Society has a mission to build a vibrant film culture in east Texas. We aim to bring together filmmakers and film lovers by providing curated screenings, filmmaking resources, and community discussion and engagement.

We are 100% donation funded, by both our film society members and patrons who attend our events. We offer membership perks for our 4 membership tiers. 

We have hosted screenings in Mineola, at the Historic Select Theater, and are currently screening films at Liberty Hall in Tyler. The first East Texas Filmmaker Mixer was co-hosted by us at Liberty Hall in February, where we met dozens of aspiring and active filmmakers and crew members. In April we are co-hosting a 48-Hr Film Fest with Tyler Fest Festival at Liberty Hall, and our team is actively involved in the annual Tyler Film Festival. 

2026 is looking like a great year so far, and donations to East Texas Film Society will help to increase the value we can provide to the film community of East Texas. Our goal is $5000 which will ensure that we can continue to provide Filmmaker Mixers through the next year, provide curated screenings of films East Texas needs to see, and continue to provide social and professional engagement opportunities for filmmakers and film lovers.
