Alcohol & Drug Awareness Council

A nonprofit organization

The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council believes that chemical dependency is preventable and treatable when education and intervention techniques are used.

Program Philosophy and Goal

The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council believes that chemical dependency is a progressive, incurable, chronic and fatal disease that can be managed with long term treatment. It is essential that treatment include family and/or significant other involvement and 12 step or other support groups available in the local area. The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council goal is to provide a quality outpatient treatment program that focuses on the recovery and maintenance from abuse/addiction of mind-altering chemicals. The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council subscribes to the belief that abstinence from consumption of all mind-changing chemicals (including alcohol) is the only current practice that can lead to a successful treatment outcome.
