Junior Achievement Angelina County

Junior Achievement's purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

Be a Junior Achievement Super Hero and make a donation today! Your donation will help us provide financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness programs to local Angelina County students. Last year, we reached 5,507 local students, and we hope to reach even more students this year! Junior Achievement's unique delivery system provides the training, material and support necessary to bolster the chances for student success. Our programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities.
The Angelina County Junior Achievement District Office provides our local public school districts with a variety of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship programs. Each program, presented by local volunteers, and tailored to specific grade levels, brings the real world into the classroom. Our Elementary programs truly lay the foundation for sequential financial literacy education - by starting off ensuring that students understand the difference between a need and a want. Moving toward Middle Schools, we help students match their interest with their skills - and help them identify that perfect career path, as well as help them understand the basics of budgeting. High School, anyone? Let's help these students practice the importance of personal finance and soft skills, and let them know what skills employers are seeking. Calling all Entrepreneurs! Share your skills and traits, and help young people see what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur! Support Junior Achievement, and trust that you are helping us inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
