Fundraiser Story
Thanks to our donors and our alumni, we have a vision of earning by learning that has led us to a new terrain in honors. Our students have incentives to learn as never before. We have twenty-six awards conferred by the honors program for academic achievements and leadership. We are up to over ten free trips a year. We ask for your support in continuing this progress. Because of your support we are thankful for singular features of our program. This year our honors students are winning two of the twenty-two $7,500 Hites Awards given each year nationally. Our Texas history essays alone won $1,000 in Houston this last March at the TSHA, and Stephanie Hernandez won a Britt Award of the Great Plains Honors Council for her pioneering work on Tejano Murals. We also have some very exciting work going on in biology, chemistry, the humanities and psychology. Thank you so much for considering us as you try to best optimize your generosity!
