Born a foster child and later adopted, I grew up facing and overcoming adversity that shaped my strength and character. I was a single father at just 21, and navigated life’s challenges with faith and determination. Now a devoted husband and Jesus-loving man, and a successful construction contractor, a loving father, and a teacher at heart. My wife and I have adopted two children, extending the same love and opportunity I received, and fins joy in teaching my trade to others, passing on both skills and hope. This is why Hills and Valleys Refuge is so important to me and many other young adults coming out of foster care.

The mission of Hills and Valleys Refuge is to impact vulnerable youth who are aging out of the foster care system before they fall into crisis. These children must be reached with safe housing, mentorship, education and above all the saving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through these interventions we seek to break the generational curses that threaten so many of these children. Hills and Valleys Refuge shall be a Christ centered outreach ministry that works in partnerships with local churches, businesses and the broader Christian community to provide these critical services for at-risk youth.
