Women on the Rock

Fundraiser Story

Founded in August of 2018, we are a non-profit organization serving women coming out of incarceration who struggle with addictions, domestic violence, sex trafficking, homelessness, and unemployment. We are focused on positively impacting the community where we live, work, and serve, providing hope for a better tomorrow.  Since our opening Rock Bottom Ranch has helped countless people navigate through personal and family crisis.

At our facility, we can house 12 women in private rooms and our target population is at-risk women over 18 years of age who are educationally and economically disadvantaged. The objective of Rock Bottom Ranch is to educate, care for, encourage, and love the women who fully commit themselves to this program. We assist them in re-entering everyday life with productivity and success. Our no cost program provides them with room and board, clothing and hygiene, education, and therapy all in a monitored environment where they may grow and mature. The program is designed to empower them to become sober, responsible, and compassionate members of society. RBR is designed to help reduce recidivism, maintain sobriety, maintain employment, and reunite families.

We are making measurable/achievable differences in the lives of the women we serve through our program which includes: 12 step recovery classes, personal development, job skills preparedness, individual counseling, parenting and marriage classes, Bible Study, Spiritual guidance, financial education, equine therapy, K-9 therapy, anger management classes, GED, and opportunities for furthered education.

We measure their success by seeing that they are maintaining sobriety, not reoffending, complying with parole/probation, restoring their families, maintaining employment, furthering education, improving attitude, increasing self-esteem, establishing new life goals, handling everyday challenges with grace and dignity, and ultimately, reentering the community as a productive member of society. The benefits are far-reaching, benefiting not only the women we serve, but their families, their children, the workplace, and the community at large.

We have recently added a new Aftercare/Resource Center and will soon have a fully operational Computer Lab and GED Testing Site. We plan to use  the money from this fundraiser to furnish our new computer lab. Please join us in completing this project that will help educate women for many years moving forward and prepare them for a better life and future!
