After a decade on campus, the TableTop Club has become one of the largest student organizations on the NTCC campus. Every Thursday, the membership can be heard throughout the Humanities Building while members enjoy a wide variety of interactive games. The club provides an opportunity for experienced and “newbie” players alike socialize with each other and participate in games, especially those of a strategic nature, which encourage both entertainment and critical thinking skills. In fact, studies say working puzzles and playing games can help stimulate the brain, help people deal with a wide variety of mental issues, and may even help delay dementia and Alzheimer’s symptoms.
