Smith County Bar Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Furthering justice and promoting the rule of law by providing resources and education to the community.

The Smith County Bar Foundation is the charitable arm of the Smith County legal profession. Partners of the SCBF support a variety of community outreach projects, including:

People's Law School - a free event, open to the public, that provides information on a variety of legal topics and issues in English and Spanish;

Scholarships for high school or returning to school students, pursuing degrees in law enforcement or legal studies;

Children and Courts opportunities - most visits to the courthouse are stressful times. The SCBF works to make the environment friendlier for kids through the provision of books, crayons, etc., as well as supporting other programs that contribute to children's wellbeing;

Mock Trial competition for high schools in the Region 7 education district;

Constitution Day programs that educate on and bring awareness to the incredible document that is the US Constitution;

Law Day - a celebration of the rule of law and our area legal professionals.
