Fundraising for the Future

What started as Noelle picking an elective for middle school (orchestra) has turned into a love of stringed instruments for both girls.  

Noelle is focusing on the violin and has been a member of ETYO since 1/2025.  She is auditioning for the next level orchestra this spring. 

Cate joined ETYO 8/2025 and has since added the double bass to her repertoire. She has goals of being the first ETYO musician to play in two orchestras in the same season next year.  She is also auditioning for both orchestras this spring. 

The mission of the East Texas Youth Orchestra, Inc. (ETYO), is to provide the region's student musicians with exceptional musical opportunities that shape their character and grow their skills through training and performances that enrich both our members and the community.  ETYO musicians focus on six areas of development: education, experience, encouragement, excellence, enrichment, and enjoyment - just as they have for almost 70 years!  

ETYO currently supports two full orchestras - the Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra, a Preparatory Orchestra for young string players, and the Jazz Academy. Additionally, ETYO sponsors String Clubs to introduce new students to the violin.  ETYO draws over 180 students from across the East Texas region. The attraction of ETYO to accomplished young musicians is an indicator of the educational value provided by ETYO programs and underscores the organization’s determination to expand programming and to reach additional young musicians from across the East Texas.

We need your support to purchase music and other supplies, attract accomplished directors, and provide scholarship help so all can participate.
